Klaviyo pricing structure
Klaviyo charges based on active profiles (contacts). The free plan covers 250 profiles. Paid plans start at $20/mo for 251–500 profiles and scale up significantly - 10,000 profiles is $150/mo, 50,000 profiles is $700/mo. SMS is billed separately per message. If you're on a large paid plan, the savings from downgrading can be substantial.
Klaviyo vs Mailchimp vs ConvertKit for e-commerce
Klaviyo is the dominant choice for Shopify and WooCommerce stores due to deep native integrations and powerful segmentation. Mailchimp has broader SMB appeal and a more generous free tier (500 contacts, 1,000 emails/month). ConvertKit/Kit is better for creator businesses. If you're canceling Klaviyo for cost, Mailchimp or Omnisend are the natural e-commerce alternatives.
