Talkspace and insurance
Talkspace is now covered by many insurance plans and some employers offer it as a benefit. If you are canceling a self-pay Talkspace subscription, check whether your insurance covers therapy - you may be able to see a therapist (on Talkspace or elsewhere) at a much lower copay than the out-of-pocket subscription price.
If you are charged after canceling
If Talkspace charges you after you canceled, contact support with your cancellation confirmation. If unresolved, dispute the charge with your card. Keep your confirmation email as proof.
Lower-cost or covered alternatives
- Your insurance network - Many plans cover therapy with a copay far lower than out-of-pocket app subscriptions. Call the number on your insurance card for in-network therapists.
- Open Path Collective - Nonprofit network offering therapy sessions at reduced rates ($30–80) for those without adequate insurance.
- 988 / community mental health - If cost is the barrier and you need support now, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and local community mental health centers offer free help.
