Export your Shopify data before canceling
Once you deactivate, you lose access to your admin. Before canceling, export everything you might need: your product CSV, customer list, order history, and any content. Go to each section's export option in the admin. If you are moving to another platform, this data is essential for the migration.
Shopify billing after cancellation
Shopify bills for the current period and does not prorate refunds on deactivation. Deactivate before your next billing date to avoid the next charge. If you are charged after deactivating, contact Shopify support with your deactivation confirmation, and dispute with your bank if unresolved.
