Canceling Hulu + Live TV vs standard Hulu

The cancellation process is the same for both Hulu (with or without ads) and Hulu + Live TV. The difference is what you lose: canceling Hulu + Live TV removes live channel access and any cloud DVR recordings in addition to on-demand content.
