GoToMeeting vs Zoom vs Microsoft Teams
Zoom has largely displaced GoToMeeting for video conferencing. Microsoft Teams is included free with Microsoft 365. Google Meet is free with Google Workspace. GoToMeeting's main advantage is its reliability and GoToWebinar integration for large events. If you're just running standard meetings, Zoom Free (40-min limit) or Google Meet covers most needs at no cost.
Refund policy
GoToMeeting does not offer prorated refunds for unused periods on annual contracts. Month-to-month subscribers can cancel and stop billing at the next renewal date. For billing disputes, contact billing@goto.com within 30 days.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I downgrade GoToMeeting instead of canceling?
- Yes. GoToMeeting offers a free plan with limited features (40-minute meetings, 3 participants). Downgrading to free stops billing while keeping your account active.
- Does canceling GoToMeeting affect my GoToWebinar subscription?
- No. GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar are separate subscriptions. Canceling one does not cancel the other.
- What is the cheapest GoToMeeting alternative?
- Zoom Free supports up to 100 participants for 40-minute meetings at no cost. Google Meet is unlimited for 1-on-1 calls and up to 60 minutes for group calls with a free Google account. Microsoft Teams Free covers most small business meeting needs.
