What DeleteMe actually does
DeleteMe ($129/year per person) submits opt-out requests on your behalf to major data broker sites (Spokeo, Whitepages, BeenVerified, Radaris, etc.) and monitors those sites for re-listing. The service removes your name, address, phone number, and relatives from data broker profiles. After canceling, there is no automatic removal activity - your existing removals may stick for months, but re-listing will eventually occur.
Alternatives to DeleteMe
If cost is the issue, Privacy Bee and Incogni offer similar services at varying price points. Manual opt-outs are free but time-consuming - most major data brokers have opt-out pages you can submit yourself. The FTC's "Your Privacy Rights" resources list major brokers with opt-out instructions.
DeleteMe refund policy
