Before you close Cash App - withdraw everything

If you hold a balance, stocks, or Bitcoin in Cash App, withdraw or transfer all of it before closing. Cash out your balance to your bank, sell or transfer any Cash App Investing holdings, and move any Bitcoin to an external wallet or sell it. Once the account closes you lose access to everything in it.

Unauthorized Cash App charges

If you are closing Cash App because of an unauthorized charge or scam, report it in the app first (tap the transaction → report), then dispute it with your linked bank or card. Cash App scams are common and the company's dispute process can be slow, so involving your bank is often faster.
